May 31st - The Commercial Club Bandits opened up the Hide-Out on a Friday night this weekend for the visiting Brisbane Spartans. The Ladies took to the court first and gave the Spartans numerous worrying moments as they lead at the half as they were out rebounded 16-23, with a third quarter they'd rather forget 21-11 to be down by 8 before they rallied to lb6round out the game and a narrow 5 point loss 64-59. Lisa Wallbutton chimed in with a game high 21 with 13 reb and 5 steals, Alex Duck 15 and 6 assists

For the guys, the Spartans carrying a 100% win record for 2009, came to the Border and the Bandits won the second half after some careless ball handling in the first half turn over count 13-3 and a 20 point lead to Brisbane. The second half, trying for the classic come from behind victory, but falling 8 points short. Better shot selection was one reason they got back within reach of the Northerners. Final score 111-103. Fernandez Lockett chipped in 18 rebounds and 24 points, Matt Gange had a great night with 27 points James Quinn 25 points and 6 assists.

After the Friday night Brisbane visit the Commercial Club Bandits hopped on the bus and went down to Geelong, trying to take with them the momentum from the second half of Friday Night,b9 but 8 points down at half time was not a good start, but the final term at 35-25 sealed another fruitless trip to the Arena. Final Score 109-88. Fernandez Locket 19 boards and 30 points 5 steals & 2 assists would at the very least give him an honorable mention in the SEABL Player of game_action_buttonthe week awards. Jermaine Williams & James Quinn 14 points, Matt Gange 12.

The Hide - Out has 2 Tassie visitors Hobart for the Men & Launceston for the Girls, they them travel to Kilsyth.
